Peacock Painting GIVEAWAY!

After a two and a half month neglect, I'm coming back with a bang. And a giveaway.

This painting is on canvas, but it is not a mounted canvas. However, my idea in having a thin canvas is so you can dress up the way you display it. I envisioned that this piece would hang on the wall and around it would hang a somewhat larger frame so the painting is within the frame, but not touching it. It would be a decoratively carved frame, thick and bulky, and I would paint it a teal blue (and maybe give it a weathered/antique look) to give it a little edge.

Now, that is just my idea... you can do with it what you wish.

P.S. It's a peacock.

If you would like to be in the drawing, you must 1. be a subscriber of this blog and 2. leave a comment below this post telling me how you are going to (or would like to) display this painting. I will draw the winner on July 7th (a week from tomorrow).

I do get page views from countries outside of the US, but I am sorry, the winning address must be inside the US. (I will get the address of the winner when the name is drawn.)

Thank you for subscribing and entering in the contest!

  4. I'm going to hang it in my window so that a famous art critic can see it, love it, and buy it, and Cassie can be discovered for her artistic talent

  5. I think I would do something with peacock feathers with the frame... Maybe leave it up to Little Anne to come up with something.

  9. Option 1: Bulky, decorative frame painted silver but with black in the little crevices of the frame and hung between my two bookshelves.
Option 2: Thick, plain frame bedazzled with clear/silver rhinestones and hung in the same place.
I plan on moving in with my best friend next year and this would be the perfect touch to our living room or my new room. Until then it'll just brighten up my current room :)

  10. I saw a metal frame at TJ Maxx that you place a canvased picture in and coming off it are long wires that curl. I would paint the long curly wires bright colors to tie the canvased picture in with the themed colors in my room! :)

so.....i would take this beautiful Peacock canvas and instead of using a frame i would get yellow, light blue, dark pink, and teal feathers and put them all around the edges of the canvas making it look like an awesome colorful peacock. Then i would take the masterpiece and hang it up on my famous wall in my room right next to your remote! hahaha! I'm like a peacock, you gotta let me fly-quote by Mark Wahlberg in The Other Guys!!!! thats just for you Cassie!
